Mark Gordon
Chief Investment Officer

Mark Gordon joined Lone Star Value Management (“LSVM”) in 2018 as Chief Investment Officer of the Ascent Oil Fund. Prior to joining LSVM, Mark worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Janus Henderson. As a Senior Analyst at Paulson & Co. Inc, he was responsible for energy investments, mostly pre-arbitrage, arbitrage or special situations. Prior to that, he was a Portfolio Manager at Soros Fund Management focusing on global energy/natural resources investments, both public and private. Before joining Soros, Mark worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management finishing as a Portfolio Manager and Managing Director.  Mark started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers in the Mergers and Acquisitions group. Mark has a B.A. (Honors) from Brown University with concentrations in Modern Culture and Media and Religious Studies, an M.A. from Stanford University with a concentration in Humanities, and an M.B.A. (Honors) from the University of Chicago with concentrations in Analytic Finance and Economics. Mark is a CFA charterholder.

Jeff Eberwein
Founder of LSVM

Mr. Eberwein is the Founder of Lone Star Value Management, an investment firm he founded in 2013. He has 25 years of Wall Street experience and has focused intensively on the energy industry. In addition, Mr. Eberwein has valuable public company and financial expertise gained through his employment history and directorships. On April 1, 2018 Mr. Eberwein was appointed CEO of Hudson Global, Inc., previously a portfolio company of Lone Star Value. Prior to founding Lone Star Value in 2013, Mr. Eberwein served as a portfolio manager at Soros Fund Management from 2009 to 2011 and Viking Global Investors from 2005 to 2008 where he ran energy and cyclicals portfolios. Mr. Eberwein also is chairman of the board at two other publicly traded companies: ATRM Holdings, Inc., a modular building company; and Digirad Corporation, a medical imaging company. Additionally, Mr. Eberwein served as a director of Ameri Holdings (Chairman), Crossroad Systems (Chairman), Goldfield Corporation, Novation Companies (Chairman), NTS, Inc., and On Track Innovations Ltd. Mr. Eberwein earned an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BBA in Finance with High Honors from The University of Texas at Austin.

Hannah Bible

Ms. Bible has over 12 years of combined legal and accounting experience across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Lone Star Value in June 2014, Ms. Bible was the Director of Finance/CFO and Director of Risk Management at Trinity Church in Greenwich, CT.  From October 2011 to December 2012, Ms. Bible served as Counsel to RRMS Advisors, a company providing advisory services to banking and other institutions with high risk assets.  In this role Ms. Bible helped to negotiate an $8.5B settlement as well as provided legal support for other investor-driven suits. From August 2009 to October 2011, Ms. Bible advised family fund and institutional clients of International Consulting Group, Inc., and its affiliates within Jordan, UAE, and Iraq on matters of security, corporate governance, and U.S. legal compliance.  From 2006 to 2008, Ms. Bible served within the U.N. General Assembly as a diplomatic advisor to the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization, a permanent observer mission to the United Nations. From 2007 to 2013 Ms. Bible taught as an Adjunct Professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, within the International Tax and Financial Services program and has contributed as an author to several national publications.  Prior to this Ms. Bible held various accounting positions with Samaritan’s Purse, a large $300MM+ 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to emergency relief and serving the poor worldwide. Ms. Bible earned an LLM in Tax from New York University School of Law, a JD with honors from St. Thomas University School of Law, and a BBA in Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University.
